WWA Welcomes Kim and Carl to the Team

WWA are pleased to welcome both Kim Vermaak and Carl Ranscombe to the team, each brings with them valuable experience and knowledge.

Kim’s joins WWA as our newly appointed Marketing & Customer Relations Manager, with over 15 years of exposure in design and production for print, signage production, brand management and social media. After realising that accountancy was not her strong point, she decided to study Electronic Publishing in 2003 at the ground-breaking Hirt & Carter Training Centre in Cape Town.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring new places along the way. With family roots in Namibia, Kim has travelled to a few European countries with only a backpack and a bus full of strangers as part of a Bus-A-Bout Tour. She would love to visit Scotland and the Scandinavian countries to tick the box on her bucket list of seeing the Aurora Borealis.

Carl join’s our planning team as a Graduate Planner in the Oxford Studio, and advocates for sustainable futures. With the plethora of challenges, we face in contemporary society, the practice of planning appealed to Carl as he strives to define problems and then work proactively to find solutions together in a team. Recently Carl has been involved in working with local farmers on a diversification scheme that seeks to secure the long-term future of their sustainable farming practices. With a thirst for coffee, he enjoys being outside in wild landscapes, whether it is trail running or skiing it almost always involves a climb and a breath-taking view at the top. Having skied in Europe and travelled around Southeast Asia, Carl would still love to explore the Canadian mountains.
