A semi-derelict thatched cottage has been given a new lease of life by the Practice via a sympathetic restoration of the historic Grade II listed structure.

Using reclaimed materials and specialist conservation techniques the formerly vacant property in Harwell, Oxfordshire, has been completely transformed and offers a beautiful two bedroomed dwelling.

Our specialist skills in conservation enabled a relaxation of standard regulations thus allowing a traditional restoration using historic materials not normally permitted in building regulations.

This decision to utilise more traditional methods meant that the character of the property could be enriched enormously and is testament to the heritage skills of the team.
